The Green Tourism Business Scheme, has been running since 1997 and with over 1500 members across the whole of the UK, it is the largest and most established scheme of its type in the World. In Scotland the GTBS was developed in partnership with VisitScotland and it is recognized by UK national and regional government as a crucial part of its drive towards sustainability. Our aim is to build on this strong position and ensure that the UK remains at the forefront of sustainable tourism in the future.

David Bellamy Award:
David Bellamy Conservation Awards are made each year to parks which can demonstrate policies showing active concern for the environment. Assisted by local nature groups and holidaymakers themselves, David Bellamy looks at virtually every aspect of park management - from the protection of plant and animal habitats to the efficient use of energy and recycling. Helping visitors to understand conservation is also considered an important qualifying feature. Three levels of excellence can be achieved : Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Gold: Lower Treave Caravan and Camping Park is a Four Star family camping and touring caravan site at the heart of the Lands End Peninsula amidst some of the most spectacular scenery in the UK. The site is easy to find, situated just two miles from the Blue Flag beach of Sennen Cove and within easy reach of all the delightful coves and beaches of West Cornwall. Gold:Caravan and Camping Park Trevella's commitment to the environment has been on going for the past 45 years, from tree planting to the construction of two lakes and nature reserve.
