communication
This is one of those things that, rather like teenage sex, everyone says they're doing; very few are; and of those that are, even fewer are doing it anything like well. Our mate Ed of Futerra would say the same of what people say they're doing about climate change. We rather agree.
Fortunately, despite our collective attempts to mash it up, pretty catastrophically, communication does in fact come naturally to us. We just have to learn as we go; and importantly, fend off the many efforts to actually stop us from communicating well, which pretty much boil down to the modern world measuring our success as a species by the size of our tv screens, how much stuff we can buy each year, and the number of "friends" we have on virtual social networks (the clue is in the "virtual" bit. (We kid you not. If you want to think about this a bit more with us, have a look at our Measuring section...).
And in actual fact, the stuff that's really important to us is those near us, and how well we connect, and communciate, with them. So. If you're struggling to say what you want, don't despair. It does actually come naturally to us. It's in, as it were, our DNA. And what we have here are tips, hints, cheat list, tools and a few guiding lights to help you communicate better what you want, with whom you want, when you need to. And when it comes to inspiring change, and encouraging people to be the best sort of visitor, business, supplier, colleague and business partner, it's all about making that connection. Only connect. Properly. He wasn't daft, that Forster chap.
